Biography
Felix Kwok is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. His research focuses on the numerical solution of differential equations, with a particular interest in high-performance computing and parallel algorithms, such as domain decomposition methods. These innovative algorithms reduce the computational time of complex simulations by distributing the work across thousands of processors for simultaneous processing. Dr. Kwok is also interested in several applications of these methods, including solid mechanics, optimal control, and flow in porous media.
